Union, would it be at all possible to lower the time restriction for us on posting replies/posts? I posted earlier a new thread then went to reply to an Introduction thread and had to wait 36 seconds to be able to post my reply.

36 seconds is not a long time but I can definitely see situations where it would become annoying (only slightly!).

If this would be too much of a pain or doesn't fit into your ideas for the site just ignore me. I would however ask you continue to remove all green M&M's!

I've lowered the post flood time, ever so slightly, but restrictions like this do serve a very important purpose. Not the least of which is checking the signal-to-noise ratio that was mentioned in a previous thread. At the risk of sounding flippant, as a general rule, I would suggest that anyone who is able to fire off more than a post or 2 per minute, might be serviced by taking half-a-minute to consider the contribution of said posts. I don't mean you specifically, Buuncha, I just want to clarify the purpose of post flood timers. Minimum character requirements are in place for the same reason.

Actually, the primary purpose of these safeguards are to minimize the damage of spam and bot attacks. At the risk of sounding Hobbesian, sometimes slight annoyances are necessary to serve the greater good.

Anyhow, I went ahead and decreased your wait time by 15 seconds. Cheers!

He's jealous of your hat, Nybling. Can you blame him?

Yes I completely understand the necessary evil of the timers. That was the primary motivator for asking that it be applied to the founding members group only. I hope we have a sense of personal ownership in terms of our contributions that we wouldn't want to see lowered by meaningless posts.

15 seconds is perfect and once again you deliver the goods. Thank you sir!

Not really. My robe and wizard's hat are what drives all the ladies wild.

Nybling is the mightiest sorceror of the lands?
I never knew. Spare this poor level 2 druid.
