    Legend of Grimrock

Just in case any of the old folks remember the golden age of tile-based dungeon crawler games...this looks really neat. A party to manage, monsters to fight, puzzles to solve, and a complex dungeon to explore (you can even turn on old-school mode and do all the mapping yourself!).

It releases tomorrow, and might be a lot of fun, if for no other reason than it should really bring back memories.

Yeah it looks pretty good, I'll probably wait for a few reviews though. I've been burned by a few games lately.

I have seen this before somewhere. It does take me back to some of my older games. I would like it if they offered a mod tool and multiplayer for it as it could be used to setup D&D Campaigns.

Saw my friend play it yesterday and it looks pretty good, I'll probably purchase it later today.

Dont expect a whole lot of from this, the qraphics and sound are extremely well done leveling is linear, and if you make a mistake with picking stats and skills, you have to start all over again. The skills need tweating they are a bit...odd? , you find light armor with large than needed penalties early on but the proficiency(skill) is hard to get before chararacters reach level 3. Its also limited in weapon choices early on, dont pick rogue and expect to see a bow, im at dungeon level 3 now and still havent seen one. Oh and dont try normal difficulty without atleast 3 members, and there is potion making that I've seen. Over all so far, playing 2-3 hours on 3 different party make-ups, its a linear dungeon crawl thats runs good and looks good, Its reminds me of the old DOS DnD/RPG game dungeon crawls except it has better mapping

I might have tried it out if there was a demo, but not a chance now. Been disappointed to much lately and would rather replay 10 year old games on game cube than buy stuff without demos anymore.

its really a basic, very basic game, they are releasing a new patch adding quicksave/load controls some balancing etc. they way they patch is weird too, its a complete reinstall, almost.
