And what's up with all the technogizmos for keeping track of 3 miles?! Just freaking run! :P
It's about 4.8 kilometers. I suppose the distance isn't super important to keep track of. Just keeping each other running weekly would be pretty cool.

The gadgets and gizmos are just some extra flavor. I like it when Tiger Woods or other athletes randomly come through your earphones telling you that you just ran your fastest mile ever etc. =P

I don't run but I have been trying to bike and walk more. How about we make it just a general activities thing. I poped into Fitocracy after I saw Union using it to keep track of things. It looks like twitter for working out to me

With running, it's just... running. That's why I can't just run.
I agree with this wholeheartedly, so if it's a means of making it less boring, makes sense. I think having a goal to run "with" y'all should help me be less bored.

EDIT: my only caveat for next week about running is I need new shoes- left mine at the gym a couple weeks ago, doh...

recently decided to get back into/ not fall completely out of shape recently myself. May be that I'll be 41 soon and midlife crisis is taking hold, but I joined the local planet fitness. It works for me because no matter how motivated I get to work out, if I get home and sit on the damn couch I always wind up just saying "f it, ill work out tomorrow".

This way, I go directly from work since it's basically next door, do my workout, then head home. Starting out with doing 2 miles on the treadmill, regardless of time, while trying to maintain a HR of 140+, then I move over to circuit training and go through that. Usually out of the gym withing 1.5 hours and guilt free on the couch or pc here by 5pm.

Have to admit I have slacked hardcore the last 3 weeks...to many good matches on with the CL and EPL winding down...now if I could get PF to put FSC on the TV's.......
