Hello Watchers! With the increased activity surrounding the unveiling of KoA:R, it appears that we are finally transitioning, into the next leg of our long journey. I'd like to sincerely thank each of you, for all that you do to make 38 Watch such a quality community. Many of you have contacted me, offering help out in a number of ways, and I can't overstate my gratitude. It really speaks to the commitment you folks have to the preservation of our community. I'm crazy-excited about the future.
As we move forward, we will be adding to the volunteer staff, here at the Watch. We are lucky to have such an insightful and talented group to pull from. There are those of you who have voiced an interest in participating in the 38 Watch leadership. Trust that I am keeping all of you under consideration, and will contact you, as we continue to expand. If you are really interested in joining the 38 Watch staff, the best way to voice your interest would be to simply contribute to the forums in a meaningful way. We will be tapping people from our community who have developed a history of being respectful, contributory, level-headed, informed, helpful, and generally respected Watchpersons. If you fit the bill, I promise, we will notice.
Now that that is out of the way, I'd like to formally introduce the first moderator of our fine community: Finneon!
Most of you know Finn already, as he has been a long time contributer to the Watch. He will continue to use his penchant for level-headed insight, and general pleasant demeanor as the first 38 Watch 'Red' (GhostMod notwithstanding).
Congratulations Finn, now to the wolves with you!

Now Union just needs to hold a fundraiser so we can get back to vBulletin.
I vote for a "Donate $3, Ban Someone For a Day" campaign personally.

I actually like this system myself. That said, I think Union knows he can come to us if he needs to offset costs. I'll be frank. I don't mind the one banner ad but I will gladly donate/pay/etc to keep the site from being proliferated with invasive advertisements (not that I am in any way suggesting things would go that route. I just expect a lot more traffic to start coming this way and soon).
