Awesome Drizzt fan-made video
If you're a fan of Drizzt or Forgotten Realms you should like this. I don't know what the story behind it is or where it came from I just found it on youtube but it's really well done and I just thought I'd share.

Interesting little video. I wish, if it could be done right, for someone to make an actual movie based on the whole series. I think that would make for one hell of a movie franchise, especially with the growing interest in all things fantasy right now.

if they could manage to make the drow look good (and now that i've seen Avatar i think it could be done) i think the dark elf trilogy would be really cool to see on the big screen..

i can already see Dinin riding his lizard mount across the dark walls of Menzoberranzan.. Wink Munch

at the same time i saw what happened to the Sword of Truth series when it made it to filming and i have to say i don't want to see anymore of my favorite stories portrayed so poorly again!

I think it would take a lot of money, more than most people would want to gamble to make it look good.

RE: Awesome Drizzt fan-made video
The movie can and should be made, and my only concern would really be making the drow look realistic but as you said JungleMan an Avatar-like animated drow society is possible and that would look awesome. Also for the movie Salvatore would definitely need to be involved.

RE: Awesome Drizzt fan-made video
I really think the fantasy genre when it comes to movies is completely untapped.. I mean, what's the only high budget traditional lord of the rings type fantasy movie you can think of? I'm sure there are more, but I can only think of Lord of the Rings, hah. The drizzt series turned into a movie that is made with a similar style of Lord of the Rings minus the extreme cheesiness would be soo cool.

Watching him ride on the lizard through the city during the opening credits would be sweet!

I want to see some of Drizzt's epic displays of swordsmanship and a Drizzt vs. Entreri fight faithfully recreated in movie form, that would be the best thing ever.

I would just hate to see the movie turn into an Eragon. That is what low budget does to fantasy Angry Munch.

At least we can have something to the level of "Legend of the Seeker" Wink Munch
